Joy V. Stoneman

She was born January 30, 1926 in Duluth, to Jens and Laura Hansen. On July 9, 1947, Joy married Robert G. Stoneman. She loved dancing, traveling and gardening. When she was younger, Joy enjoyed snowmobiling and camping with her friends. Joy loved her family immensely.

Joy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 1987; her brother, Dallas and sister, Doris.

She is survived by her son, Randy, of Duluth and daughter, Laurie (Brad) Borgelt, of Wrenshall; three grandchildren, Bradford (Dana) Borgelt, Kaleena (Matt Carlson) Borgelt and Ian (Nicole Holmes) Borgelt; two great-grandchildren, Mason and Alexa; a brother, Keith Hansen of Cloquet and sister, Gladys Murray, of New Richmond, WI; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank Dr. Ginete, Michelle Anderson and Essentia Health for their care and compassion.

Gathering of family and friends from 12:00 pm until the 1:00 pm memorial service Saturday, June 11th in the Bell Brothers Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will be at Oneota Cemetery.
