Born in East Chicago, Indiana to now-deceased parents Daniel and Beatrice Moynihan on October 26, 1945, Tim joined the Navy in 1970 and was promoted to a Lieutenant Junior Officer. He went on to serve as an active-duty officer in the Vietnam war where he not only fought for a country he loved dearly but also made friends who remained in touch throughout his lifetime.
Having always had a passion for technology, Tim completed his bachelor’s degree in Marketing from his beloved Purdue University. He remained a proud Boilermaker throughout his life and attended games with his family.
His passion for computers and technology became his life’s work as he worked in the field of consulting and sales for most of his life, most recently for Group 4, where he served as Regional Sales Manager until he retired in 2004.
He settled into his second home in Dublin, Ohio, where he became a beloved neighbor and friend to the residents of Round Tower Lane (RTL). Tim spent many Halloweens, Christmases, and casual Friday driveway happy hours with neighbors who became family.
As a retiree, he was among the first residents of the newly developed Dublin Bridgepark area. He was excited to enjoy all that Dublin had to offer with plenty of recreational activities, restaurants, and entertainment within walking distance, and an amazing view of the newly designed Dublin Link Bridge from his sixth-floor apartment.
He is survived by his sons: Casey Moynihan of Chicago, Illinois, and Grady Moynihan of San Diego, California who brought him much happiness in their extended visits and time together in the last several years, especially. He is also survived by brothers Jerry (Sharon) Moynihan, Daniel (Pat) Moynihan, and Nora (Ron) Mahns.
In honor of his US Military service and veteran status, Tim will be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.
