Shirley Strouse, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, found peace on October 25, 2024. Born May 6, 1940 in Johnsville, Ohio, the daughter of Rueben and Nellie (Shafer) Harvey. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Natalie Blazek, who passed away just recently.
Together with Jim, Shirley co-owned Stanton’s Sheet Music, where she contributed her talents in the accounting department. She was a graduate of Mansfield Business College. A passionate traveler, Shirley cherished her journeys to Europe, Mexico, and many destinations across the United States. Her love for art was evident in the paintings and artworks that adorned her home.
Her grandchildren described her as a dedicated and committed to her family, saying she always wanted to make memories with them.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 64 years, Jim Strouse; their son, Eric Strouse; daughter, Julia Moessner (Mike); and three cherished grandchildren, Nathan, Matthew and Abby. Shirley will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Visitation will take place at 1 PM on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Schoedinger Dublin Funeral Home, located at 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, Ohio 43017, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2 PM. A private family burial service will be held on Monday at Union Cemetery.
