Born on January 14, 1947, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and raised in Camden, New Jersey, Rosemary was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Dever) Jordan.
Rose married her beloved husband, George, on November 14, 1969. They began their life together in Clayton, New Jersey, where they started their family. Shortly after, they moved to Worthington, Ohio, where they grew their family and happily spent the next 20 years.
In addition to spending time caring for her family, Rose had a passion for gardening. She spent hours tending to her flowers and always received compliments from passersby. While her children were young, she also volunteered her time teaching religious education at St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
After 20 years in Worthington, life took them to Yorkville, Illinois. Once the kids were grown, this provided time to revisit her lifelong love of learning. She was now able to attend college courses and travel to new places with friends and family. Rose loved watching the seasons change. She enjoyed decorating for every holiday/season. While spending time with family, she enjoyed watching movies and especially family game days. She always kept in touch with family and friends via written correspondence. She never missed a holiday or celebration, and her cards always brought joy to those who received them.
Rose will be deeply missed by her husband of 55 years, George Fox; children, Jennifer (Dan) Bell, Sara (Robert Smith) Murray, Daniel (Tracey) Fox; grandchildren Jordan Murray, Jacob Murray, Ethan Bell and Andrew Bell; siblings James (Jean) Jordan, Barbara (Charles) Murray; extended family Henry Fox, Nancy (Ed) Fox, Joann (Lee) Getsinger, Lawrence (Patricia) Fox; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Rosemary will be held Friday, December 27, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. followed by visiting hours until 7:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Dubin, 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, OH 43017.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rosemary’s name may be made to a charity you hold dear.
Rose’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. Her legacy of love and kindness will never be forgotten. Please share your condolences, memories, and kindness with her family.
