Cathy Hare, 70, passed away on July 25, 2022 in Dublin, Ohio. She was born on September 23, 1951 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Cletus G. and Dorothy M. (Becker) Kemper. Although she had paid jobs such as when she worked as a Montessori teacher at Natural Learning Montessori Academy in Powell, her most-loved job was raising her three daughters and most recently helping with her five, amazing grandchildren. In line with her passion for children, she taught for decades as a CCD (religious education) Teacher at St Brigid of Kildare in Dublin.
Cathy married her soulmate, Dennis A. Hare, on August 31, 1973. Their adventure began with ice cream when they met while working at United Dairy Farmers in Cincinnati. In her most recent years, Dennis and Cathy loved traveling together and sharing their ice cream fun with their five grandchildren. Cathy is also the most incredible mother to her three prized daughters: Amy, Tara, and Kimberly. Cathy was proud of the mothers that her three daughters had become, but was always willing to continue providing her mentoring advice as the fierce grandma (Gram) to her babies: Colter, Lily, Gia, Jack, and Ella. Cathy held a special relationship with each of her grandchildren—always creating memories with them.
Cathy was a role-model mother, dedicated bride to Dennis, exceptional grandmother and friend to five grandchildren, amazing sister, and overall wonderful friend. Cathy was loved and a fabulous woman. She had the soul of an angel with family paramount in priority and importance to her. Family was her core being. Never will you find another beautiful, amazing, loving woman who was a passionate cheerleader for her family!
Cathy will be missed by many, including her husband, Dennis; children, Amy Elizabeth (Brian) Izor, Tara Ann (Aaron) Aschenbrand, and Kimberly Jean (Craig) Glunt; grandchildren, Colter Jacob Aschenbrand, Lily Grace Aschenbrand, Gia Hope Xiaohai Aschenbrand, Jack Thomas Izor, and Ella Catherine Glunt; and siblings, Sandra “Sandy” Kemper, Linda (Steve) Hunt, JoAnne Kirkpatrick, and Diana (Jon) Groh
She is preceded in death by her parents, and grandparents, George and Catherine (Brockage) Kemper and Frank J. and Lucy (Prable) Becker and Aunt Edith Becker.
The family extends a sincere thank you to Dublin Methodist Hospital for their exceptional care in Cathy’s last days.
