Bruce earned a Master’s of Business Administration degree and proudly became a certified public accountant. In addition to being a teacher of Mathematics and a business owner, he dedicated many years of his career to RCA/GE and Johnson & Johnson until his retirement in 1999.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Hartman and Anna Sann Hartman. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marian R. Hartman; His daughters Lisa A. Hartman and Michelle R. Hartman Byrnes (Tom Byrnes); And his grandchildren Jacob Rettig (Sheala Rettig) and Nicholas Rettig.
A visitation celebrating Bruce’s life will be held on Monday, July 1, 2024, 10:00 AM-11:00 AM, at Schoedinger Funeral Home, 5980 Perimeter Drive, Dublin, Ohio 43017 followed immediately by a memorial service starting at 11:00 AM. Inurnment to be held 12:30 PM at Union Cemetery, 3349 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, Ohio 43202.
Bruce will be remembered fondly for his dedication to his family, his sharp mind in business and wit, his deep love and wonder of all things electronic, and his impish sense of humor. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, hard work, resilience, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear.
