Mrs. Lavada Morgan Carter, 91, passed away Thursday morning at her residence. The family will accept friends at Adams Funeral Home on Friday, November 4th from 2:00 until 3:00 pm with the service to follow with Dr. Jack Key and Rev. Bob Williams officiating. Burial will be private.
Mrs. Carter was born in Johnson County and lived most of her life in Laurens County. She graduated from Adrian High School in 1939. Mrs. Carter was the co-owner of Carters Garage, and a member of the First Methodist Church of Dublin and the Friendship Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Carter is predeceased by her husband Edison Carter; parents Clifford and Martha Morgan; daughter Martha Spivey; sister Zettie Belote; and brother Anthony Morgan.
Survivors include her daughter Pauline Carter; son-in-law Tommy Spivey; brothers and sisters Vennie Carter, Lena Spivey, Margaret Bridges, James Morgan and Z.T. Morgan; three grandchildren Jamie Bohannon, Timothy Spivey and Travis Spivey; several great grand-children, nieces and nephews and a special friend Marco Coney also survive.
