Edwin F. James

He was born on June 4, 1924 in Berwick, PA the son of the late Harry and Luella (Wolfanger) James. On November 3, 1950 he married June (Alexander) James, who passed away February 18, 1999.

Edwin served in the United States Navy. He retired from Consolidate National Gas of Luthersburg after 32 years of service.

He was a social member of Fourth Ward Hose Company.

Edwin is survived by his son Steven P. James Sr. of DuBois and a grandson, Steven P. James Jr. also of DuBois; two brothers, William Russell James of Ely, NV and Larue(Audrey) James of Knoxville, PA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Nancy Rankin and a brother, Howard James.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at the Mohney Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc. Additional viewing will be held at the Carleton Funeral Home, Wellsboro, PA on Thursday, September 11, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, September 12, 2014 with Rev Eugene A. Charsky officiating at the Carleton Funeral Home: 11470 Route 6 Wellsboro, PA. Full military honors will be accorded by Tioga County Honor Guard. Burial will be in Oregon Hill Cemetery.
