Two vivid memories. When I was about 4 I jumped off the top of the Robinson’s backyard slide. Apparently I knocked myself out. I woke up on a lounge chair on the Robinson’s patio with Gertie tending to me and icing my forehead. 
Second memory:  when my wife and I were headed out to Ohio State for a coaching opportunity, we stayed with the Robinson’s the night before we took off with our Uhaul truck hauling my beautiful Ford Pinto behind.  I think Monte barbecued steaks but I know Gertie cooked still the best baked potato I have ever had!  I am calling her Gertie but I’m pretty sure I always addressed her as  Mrs. Robinson.  She was a great mom, wife, and friend to my Mom and Dad!
