Shirley Ann Brown, age 79, of Hiram, formerly of Douglasville, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024. A native of Douglas County, Shirley was born August 10, 1944 in Douglasville. Shirley had worked for over 30 years as a nurse’s aide at Garden Terrace and was loved by all who knew her. She loved her nieces and nephews dearly and treated them as her own children. Shirley watched Joel Olsteen every day and loved playing the lottery and scratch-offs.
Preceding her in death were her parents, George and Ruth Mae (Phillips) Pirkle; and her siblings, Judy Bowman, John Pirkle and Randy Pirkle.
Those left to cherish her memory are brother, Sammy Pirkle; sister, Barbara McFall; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. In accordance with her wishes, Shirley will be cremated following the visitation.
