Ruth A. Ruff

Mrs. Ruth Argue Ruff, age 93, of Winston, Georgia passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016. She was born June 28, 1923 in Atlanta, Georgia. Mrs. Ruff retired from Rich’s with 40 years of service as a buyer and a department manager. Known as a strong-willed woman, she enjoyed working in her home, gardening and working in the yard.

Mrs. Ruff was preceded in death by her husband, John Martin Ruff, Jr.; her parents, William Leslie and Talluah Fell Argue; and sisters, Nell Marion Argue and Dorothy Argue Jones.

She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy “DeeDee” (Scott) Ruff Baker; granddaughter, Lauren (Win) Baker Rankin; two great-grandchildren, Scott Rankin and Lucy Rankin; and cousins in Pensacola, Florida.

A memorial service will be Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Douglasville with Dr. James Harper and Reverend Leon Jeffords officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Ruff to the Renovation 16 Fund at First Presbyterian Church of Douglasville, 9190 Campbellton Street, Douglasville, GA 30134.
