Rodriquez Macel Mayweather was born on November 10, 1978 in Milledgeville, GA to Ernestine Warren and Steven Mayweather. He was raised in Sparta, GA until he moved to Atlanta, GA in 1998. He married Shonita October 10, 2005 and later moved his family to Douglasville, GA where their son, Malchom, was born, who they happily shared in raising together.
Rod married the girl of his dreams, Nita, who he had been in love with since the age of 12. He was a loving and dedicated husband and father; His wife and son were his pride and joy. He was also a wonderful son, always making sure to take care of his mother’s needs. Rod was a loving and generous friend, always giving of himself for anyone in need. He was a mentor to many and supportive of young ones. Rod didn’t offer handshakes, he gave big hugs and genuine smiles.
Rod was baptized December 10, 2011 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He attended the Winston congregation and there served as an elder. As a zealous publisher of Jehovah, Rod was often found preaching to all he could, including those he found in the door-t o - door ministry as well as coworkers and others. He was always generous and put the serving of his brothers and sisters in the forefront. He made it a point to train the younger brothers in the congregation and paid special attention to the older ones that needed assistance. His was often the first smile seen and hug given when others came to the Kingdom Hall.
