He was born on November 7, 1945, the son of the late Robert Fredrick Scheffler and Margaret Hein Scheffler.
Tom, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, proudly served in the United States Air Force and earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in management. He had a passion for staying active, enjoying tennis, weightlifting, running, swimming, and snow skiing. A lifelong learner, he found joy in reading his Bible and building projects around the house. Always a jack of all trades, Tom cherished family time and was constantly busy with a new venture or hobby. His legacy of love, dedication, and hard work will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Brenda Scheffler; children, Todd Scheffler (Camille) and Tonya Olivia (Pete); brother, Rick Scheffler; sister, Bobette Martin; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Private services have been scheduled.
