Robert "Fine-n-Dandy" Louis Clayton Sr.

Mr. Robert “Fine-N-Dandy” Louis Clayton, Sr., age 78, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away Monday, July 29, 2019. He was born October 18, 1940 in Anniston, Alabama. He was a devoted husband for almost 50 years, a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Fine-N-Dandy worked for Ford Motor Company for approximately 22 years. He was a hard worker, outgoing, funny and would do whatever to help others. He loved football and was an avid Alabama fan – Roll Tide!! He attended Central Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Clayton; his parents, Stonewall W. and Geneva (Stubbs) Clayton; two brothers; three sisters; and a grandson, J.R. Morrow.

Mr. Clayton is survived by his sons, Robert (Sue) Louis Clayton, Jr., Wilton (Shaunee) Clayton, and Brian (Michelle) Clayton; his daughters, Fran (Jimmy) Fields, Shanta Clayton and Brenda Haskins; grandchildren, Amanda Hassinger, Brittany Wyatt, Dakota Clayton, Dale Clayton, Austin Clayton, Barney Haskins, Robert Haskins, William Haskins and Melissa Gunter; grandchildren, Rebecca Haskins, Donald Haskins, Topanga Haskins, Ava Wyatt, Tate Wyatt, Thomas Hickman, Michael Haskins, Jasmine Gunter, Spencer Gunter, Destiny Gunter, Madison Gunter, Jackson Gunter, Julissa Haskins, William Haskins, Jr., Megan Haskins, Landon Hassinger and Lilly Hassinger; several nieces and nephews; as well as many other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be Sunday, August 4, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Mr. Clayton to the Douglas County Animal Services, 2171 Mack Road, Douglaville, GA 30135.
