Richard “Jason” Miller, age 38 of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021. A native of Douglas County, Jason was born May 25, 1983 in Lithia Springs, Georgia. Jason was a 2001 graduate of Lithia Springs High School. He attended The University of West Georgia and Southern Polytechnic State University, where he studied architecture. Jason later passed the Georgia Real Estate Exam and began his career as a real estate agent. He was a member of Boy Scouts of America from Cub Scouts through Eagle Scout, then served as an Assistant Scoutmaster for several years. Jason was an avid Georgia Tech fan, enjoyed traveling, playing trivia and card games with friends, collecting post cards and stamps. His life-long passion was cars. He had an extensive model car collection. He enjoyed architecture, exploring old and new mansions and collecting house plans. Jason loved all genres of music, especially jazz and classical. He sent out hand-written note cards, post cards and letters to friends and family on their special occasions, or for no reason at all. He was a Christian and was Baptist by faith.
Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents, William Joseph and Margie (Little) Lambert; paternal grandparents, Johnny and Evelyn (Deaton) Miller; and uncles, Dorsey W. Lambert and Randy Miller.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Richard D. and JoAnn (Lambert) Miller; beloved great-aunt, Genell Bryant; uncle, Glen (Susan) Miller; cousins, Kenny Lambert, Andy Miller, Kevin Miller, Heather Miller and Chris Miller.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 P M. The funeral service will be Friday, September 24, 2021 at 12:00 Noon in the Rosehaven Chapel with Pastor Terry Marbut officiating. The family has requested for everyone to wear Georgia Tech colors (blue and gold), as Georgia Tech was Jason’s favorite team. Jason will be laid to rest at West Georgia Memorial Park in Villa Rica, Georgia.
