Jason and I shared a love for classicalism & automobiles. In our friendship of about fifteen years I have never before and never again will have a comrade whom is just as passionate for fine residential architecture of a time gone by. We could talk for hours on the great houses of the Vanderbilt’s and the Rockefeller’s. Dissecting each to minute detail with great mutual knowledge and understanding. We also shared a great passion for the works of Atlanta’s Reid&Addler, but loved above all Philip Trammel Shutze 1928 Swan House. 
Jason loved to send postcards. He would write the ongoings of his day and then add his thoughts and feelings of whatever the subject of the card was. These have become cherished keepsakes more now than ever. I am so grateful to have an abundance of essentially what I believe is the purest part of who he was, written in his own hand. Which is to say a kind and courageous soul. A great patriot who loved his country. A man who put great value on the ones he loved. 
Rest In Peace dear friend. I will see again in the garden of our Lord. 

I'm so sorry to hear of Jason's passing.  I went to high school with Jason and he was always so sweet, kind, and caring.  He was one of the first people to ask you how you were doing and always was able to make us laugh.  
I would see him from time to time through out the years from the mall jobs part of our lives when he was at borders and I worked throughout the mall and a billion times later in life as growing up took us to our grown up jobs..
I'm extremely sorry and my heart goes out to his family because the world really lost a great guy with a wonderful soul.

I am without words as I learn of your passing. I have such fond memories of Jason in high school. We had a lot of adventures together, riding in his red Cadillac, listening to music, eating out, and dreaming of the big lives we would one day have.  When I started working at Sears, here comes Jason to work there too. I always teased he was following me. He would come by to mess with me when he could, and hang out for lunches. When I married my first husband, which was one of his best friends, we teased that it was more of a trio than duo. He always loved to hang out and be with friends and family. He loved dreaming of luxurious things and life. I am saddened that this life has gotten darker without your bright light being present. Even though later in our lives we went on different paths, and were not as close as we once were, I still hold such fond memories of you and our adventures together. I will truly miss you my sweet friend. May you rest in peace.

I taught Jason in third grade at Beulah Elementary School, and have such fond memories of him!!!  He was a good student and always so polite and well behaved.  I remember how he loved cars and when he would see my husband and I, they would always talk cars.  For 
"Career Day" Jason came dressed as a car salesman - all dressed up in suit and tie.  Just a few years ago, I ran into Jason and we had a good time" catching up", and then a few days later I received a package in the mail from Jason -- a beautiful jewelry box decorated with jewels and butterflies.  RIP dear Jason!!

Memories with Jason are both complex and simple at the same time. For sure, he was his own solid person; but as a Gemini (and when you knew Jason, you knew this…), there were always two sides—A good, and then another good.   Boy Scouts, high school, architecture, houses, cars, food, music, golf, and comedy—these things and more were Jason to me. 

For over 25 years, I had the privilege of sharing memories with him, and I had the honor of being his friend.  His passing has left a void in my life and, even more so, an emptiness in the world of those he loved.  Jason cared for his people relentlessly, loved life unequivocally, and expressed kindness in a room where little may be. In other words, Jason’s light was unique and awesome in its very own way.  My only regret was not spending more time with him.

Jason, if you can somehow see this, I have missed and continue to miss our time together; yet, I will always look back on you with fondness and remember you as a good friend, always helping me find the positive in life. You’re truly a ray of sun within the storm.  Thank you for being my friend and another brother.  Someday, when I am called home, I will definitely make good on my word to catch up with you and share another wine together.  Until then, my friend, I will continue to cherish your memory.

I went to school with Jason. He was always happy to talk with everyone and see everyone. I remember one time I was having a really rough day and I was in the hall between classes crying. Jason noticed me and came and sat with me, talked with me. Telling me things would be ok. That even though “things look hard or dark now, it won’t last forever. “ I have kept those words in my mind all these years and think about him every time I think or those words. Jason thank you so much, I only wish I could have told you how much you have made an impression on my life. My deepest condolences to the family. He will be missed greatly. 

It’s hard to share just one memory of Jason.   He has been my friend and family for so many years.   There have been countless days Jason has cheered me up; either with his smile, a text,  a phone call, dancing  or dinner and end up spending hours in his car just talking until the early morning.   But one thing that stands out is when we went to the car show with my husband and son….my two guys wondered about while Jason and I spent time in luxury cars and taking pictures of one another; talking about how good we looked and totally needed those cars.   And of course … especially the blue ones (my fav color and his fav team even though I wear red and black on Saturday’s).  I loved our rivalry and just the fun antics we had razzing each other.    I love you my sweet friend.   Thank you for letting me be part of your life ❤️

Jason,

We met in the first grade and went through most of school together, all of cub scouts, and then boy scouts too. We did school plays together, more days of recess than I can count, trips, and camp outs. I'll never forget the campout at Chickamauga when it rained, and rained, and rained some more. I don't remember how many of us were crammed inside those tents when they flooded, and we just sat up playing cards the rest of the night because there wasn't enough room for anyone to lay down in the dry tents. I don't remember anyone complaining, we just had fun. Best Campout I have ever had.

Jason was a great friend, a great coworker, and a hard-working, funny, and cheerful person. He would always try his hardest and was always friendly as he could be. He will be dearly missed. My heart goes to his family, who is part of our "extended bookstore family".  He is going to be missed. 

I will always remember Jason’s kindness, smile, and good manners. I had a lot of fun working and laughing with him. He is a part of my forever Borders family. 

Jason was one of my best friends in high school. I have always cherished our friendship. He was my birthday twin. We were born within hours of each other. I loved to remind him that I was older therefore much smarter. We had a beautiful friendship where we would banter back and forth but we always came out on the other side laughing and smiling and still friends. Jason was a beautiful soul, he would tell it like it was but you would feel good about it. He was spunky, energetic, lively, sweet, kind, and compassionate. He loved all the beautiful things in the world from the designs in beautiful buildings to all the things God has created. Once you were his friend there was nothing that you could do about it. He was your friend forever. Throughout the years we grew apart and then back together but one thing always remained the same, we always talked on our birthday. Every year. Never failing. In recent years we started corresponding by letter and post card. Weekly I would have a new letter or post card in the mail. It gave me something to look forward to in the business of life. I wish that I could have told him how much they meant to me and how much he meant to me. I will miss him so very much. May 25th will never be the same since my beautiful birthday twin has left this earth. I know I will see him again then that birthday will be the best one yet. Many prayers and love to the Miller Family. 

I've had some amazing memories with Jason that I'm truly thankful for! I will forever cherish the birthday cards and Christmas cards he sent! I'm thankful for the time I had with him! He was a dear true friend that I will always remember! Forever loved and missed! 

I worked with Jason at Border's Books in Douglasville.  He always had a sunny disposition he never lost his temper.  He cared about others, played fair, and always had your back.  He and his mom Jody were very close, like peanut butter and jelly!   We had lots of good times together, whether we were talking about books, scouts, cars, Tech, politics, or architecture.   He was a fine young man and the world is a little dimmer without him, although he would probably tell us all to get back on the horse and carry on!  Lots of love, Jill @376

Jason and my friendship was very short-lived, but over the last year we quickly went from strangers to talking and hanging out several days a week. Jason was funny, quick witted and really an old soul. I often had hand written postcards from his collection in my mailbox. He loved to discuss house plans and architecture. His knowledge during our trivia nights was astounding. He was truly one of a kind and I will miss him terribly. 

I only knew Jason a little while but it was fun playing bingo with him and his mother Jody.  Sending my deepest sympathy and prayers to Ricky and Jody.  God bless both of you.

My Fondest memories of Jason / He was always so polite and thoughtful toward me  I will cherish the memories I have of him

I’ve known Jason for just a couple of years, mostly through trivia and game night.  He always brought a lot of spice to our games. His passion for life was always in evidence and he was always uncompromisingly himself. There was no missing Jason wherever he was. We loved him and will always remember him. 

Jason was my brother-from-another-mother.  He was my best, best friend--my confidant.  He had a heart of gold and he loved unconditionally. We have been friends just shy of 20 years, and I thank God for his life.  Along the way we spent  so much time looking at houses, traveling, going to car shows, but mostly just talking in the car on our way to anywhere.  Jason loved to drive and was excellent at it. We both loved music, but rarely listened to any because we were having our 'tangential conversations' as we called them.  I already miss the sound of his voice. My heart goes out to his parents because he was such an incredibly special man. One like no other in the world.  He imprinted on my heart in a way that will last forevermore.  I can't wait to see him again.
