Mr. Norris D. Jones, age 94 of Douglasville, GA, passed away April 28, 2017. He was born September 15, 1922 in to the late Steve and Frances Temples Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ronny Jones; and all of his siblings. Mr. Jones worked as a foreman with Johnson’s Control overseeing the makings of automobile batteries. He was a member and Elder of the Tabernacle of Faith Pentecostal Church in Douglasville. He loved farming and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Jane Flowers Jones; daughter, Margaret Laukis; sons, Steve A. Jones and Tony Jones; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from the Chapel of Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home with Rev. Jerris Flowers officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home on Monday, May 1, 2017, between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 PM.
