Katherine M Collar

Katherine M. Collar, age 76, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, August 19, 2024. She was born October 21, 1947 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Ms. Katherine was a devoted wife, loving mom, mother-in-law and GaGA. Katherine was an avid fan of Jimmy Buffett and was known for her famous margaritas. In her spare time she enjoyed crafting, cruising and hanging with her friends. When Katherine was able, she attended The Church at Chapel Hill.

Preceding her in death was her beloved husband, Roy Allan Collar, Sr.; and brother-in-law, Darrell Mayo.

Those left to cherish her memory are son, Roy Allan Collar, Jr. (Melissa); daughter, Angela Collar; brother, James McHugh, Jr.; sisters, Peggy Mayo and Mary Ann Cottingham (Reb); four grandchildren, Cade Collar, Addyson Collar, Scotlynn Collar and Bryce Garrett; as well as numerous extended family members and a host of friends.

A memorial service has been planned for Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 11:00 am in the Rosehaven Chapel. Inurnment will follow in the Rosehaven Memorial Park. The family has requested that those attending the service to please come in your best Jimmy Buffett outfits (no formal attire).
