Mrs. Julia Margaret Collier, age 88, of Douglasville, GA passed away Friday, January 5, 2018. She was born January 9, 1929 in Jefferson, GA. Mrs. Collier enjoyed fishing, cooking, sewing and going to yard sales. Her favorite pastime however, was spending time with her family.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Andy and Julia Blackstock, brothers, Marion Blackstock and Sonny Blackstock as well as sister, Elsie Hall.
She is survived by her husband, William W. Collier, Jr., sons, Thomas Paul (Brenda) Camp, Charles Edward (Bobbi) Camp, Bruce D. (Judy) Collier, Mark W. Collier and Jack B. (Reggie) Collier; daughters, Julia Ann (Henry) Hensley and Robin (Tracy) Oxford; brother, Allen A. Blackstock; sisters, Sarah E. Hall, Shirley J. Morris and Nancy Eckel; 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 11 o’clock am until 1 o’clock pm. A funeral service will follow at 1 o’clock pm in the Rosehaven Chapel with Pastor Ikey Watson officiating. Interment will take place in the Rose Haven Cemetery.
