Mr. John Samuel Durso, age 82, of Villa Rica, Georgia and part-time Hollywood, Florida, passed away Monday, November 25, 2019. He was born on May 28, 1937 in Covington, Kentucky. Mr. Durso loved to play golf and fish; he was very active. He loved life and was always the life and light of the party. He never met a stranger and he made such an impact on so many lives. Mr. Durso lived a full life. He was strong, chatty, and gregarious. He will be so missed by those who knew and loved him.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Edward and Ruth; his son, John Fabian; and his sister, Carol Martin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Ann Durso; his children, Tangerine Pike, Carol Robinette Mayo (Greg), Chris Baxter, and Craig Baxter (Stephanie); his brother, Mark Durso; his niece, Teri Gauvin; his grandchildren, Morgan, Megan, Tony, Taylor, Brandon, Christian, and Karen; his great-grandchildren; his best friend, Keith Crozier and numerous other loved ones, family, and close friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Durso will be cremated at a later date.
