Mr. James Eugene Rooker, age 64, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed suddenly on July 25, 2024. He was born in Flint, Michigan, on January 25, 1960. James was a friend to all he met and spent most of his professional life as a painter. He was a man of faith and loved others with the love of Jesus. He enjoyed reading his Bible and offering to give rides to the Sunday School class and other members of the church to ensure they made it for Sunday’s message. You would always know if he was excited about something when you would hear him say, “praise the Lord!” In his spare time, James loved to spend time with his family, friends, and ride around enjoying the view of God’s country.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Robert Rooker, and brother, Robert Rooker, Jr.
He is survived by his partner, Sara Gaither; brother, Steve Rooker; Church family and numerous friends.
The family is currently arranging for a memorial service to be held in James’ honor. Service information will be made available once finalized.
