James Earl Brown, Sr., aged 67, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021. He was born on November 28, 1953 in Trenton, North Carolina. James was a graduate of Clifford J. Scott High School in East Orange, New Jersey. He worked at Port Newark for 32 years as a longshoreman. He was a strong, caring and generous man who firmly believed in providing for his family. James will forever leave a positive influence on the lives he’s touched. One of his favorite motivational sayings was “When the frog starts hoppin', there ain’t no stoppin'." Meaning you don’t stop when obstacles get in the way, you must keep going. James was fascinated with cars and boats. He enjoyed spending time in the garden and fishing. Outdoors was his happy place. A bright spot in his day was spending time with his grandchildren. James was a Christian and also loved to read his Bible.
Preceding him in death were his father, Robert Earl Brown Sr, and a daughter, Lisa Michelle Bentley.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Edna Elizabeth (Greene) Brown; the mothers of his children, Sandra Quiles and Maribel Mota Pachecho; son “James” Earl Brown, Jr.; daughters, Tiffany Denise Morris (Kevin) and Jennifer Marlins Brown; brother, Robert Earl Brown, Jr.; sisters, Audrey Jean Naphier, Evelyn Marie Howell, Loretta Ann Taylor (James) and Carolyn Delores Reynolds (Joe); grandchildren, Ayanna Brown, Marquese Brown, Kevin Morris, Jr., Kamryn Morris, Amber Smith, Sandra Baker, DuWayne Dunson; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 8, 2021 from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel. James will be laid to rest at Kennesaw Memorial Park following the service.
