Geraldine Bailey

Mrs. Geraldine Bailey, age 77, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016. She was born June 23, 1939 in Chester, Georgia. She was a homemaker who loved caring for and spending time with her family. She loved making homemade gift baskets and was an avid fan of Gone With The Wind. Prior to becoming a housewife, she worked in insurance, where she taught herself the skills to become proficient in the insurance business. She kept the books for C.O Bailey Grading.

Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her parents, James and Myrtice Nobles Roland; a twin sister, Imogene Bailey; sister, Janette Taylor; and brother, James Roland.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Clyde Bailey; son, C.J. Bailey; daughters, Renee (Skeet) Jones and Kelly (Danny) Johnson; brothers, William “Bill” Roland and Carl (Pamela) Roland; sister, Sue (Virgil Lee) Rhone; grandchildren; Wesley Willbanks, Kristi Willbanks, Rachel Smothers and Trey Johnson; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Pastor Randy Shirley officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens.
