Brenda C Davis

Mrs. Brenda Cook Davis, age 73, of Douglasville, GA passed away Friday, October 2, 2015. She was born January 8, 1942 in Charlotte, NC. After retiring from the State of Georgia as a Mail Administrator, she became a homemaker and her family was her life, especially her baby “Gizmo”. She enjoyed old movies, flowers and gardening, and was an avid NASCAR fan. She was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard C. Davis; her parents, Richard and Gracie Young Cook; three sisters, Betty Jo Garmon, Almetta Grant and Olivia Sigmond.

She is survived by her son, Thomas Edward Davis; daughters, Gina Davis and Paula Davis; brothers, Richard Cook and wife Cindy, and Alan Cook and wife Angie; sisters, Sharon Starnes, Darlene Galloway, Denise Gardener and husband Keith, and Gloria Daniell; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 4, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be Monday, October 5, 2015 at 3:30 PM in the Rosehaven Chapel. Interment will follow at Rosehaven Memorial Park.
