Mr. Barry Wood, age 67, of Douglasville, GA passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019. He was a 1969 graduate of Douglas County High School and a 1973 graduate of the University of Georgia. He was an Assistant District Atttorney for Douglas County. A filled with faith Christian, Barry was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Douglasville. He was a teacher in the Brotherhood Sunday School Class – an activity he greatly enjoyed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Philip N. Wood, Sr. and Helen Wood as well as his sister, Becky Wood Heard.
Surviving him is his wife, Andrea Moldovan; sons, Joshua Wood and Raymond Wood; brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Philip N. Wood, Jr. and Martha Wood; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Victor and Marguarita Moldovan; nieces Sara, Annie, Rachel, Gabby and Phyllis as well as nephew Keith.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2019 in the Rosehaven Chapel at 4 o’clock pm with the Honorable W.H. McClain officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the Brotherhood Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers Barry requests that you take your family out to eat after church Sunday.
A Celebration of Barry’s Life will be held at Hudson’s BBQ immediately following the memorial service.
