Virginia Rose Temple Holtman

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 17, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bob Baxter officiating and Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service time on Friday.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wiregrass Hope Group, Inc., 171 Westgate Parkway, Dothan, AL 36303.

Mrs. Holtman was born on March 14, 1920 in Detroit, Michigan to Elmer and Gladys Temple and lived the early years of her life there. She resided in Naples, Florida for 20 years prior to moving to Dothan in 2000. She volunteered for the Wiregrass Hope Group for several years and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Holtman was a very loving, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, William and Nancy Holtman, Rochester Hills, MI; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Steve Andrews, Waxhaw, NC and Susan and Dan Sinas, Dothan, AL; eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Wayne) Chen, Megan (David) Sanchez, David Andrews, Jeffrey and Julie Holtman, Nicholas, Danielle and Michael Sinas; two great grandchildren, Kai and Micah Chen.
