2 Timothy 4 7-8 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.”

Joyce lived a long full life. She loved to be outside, and she took pride in keeping her yard perfectly manicured. She enjoyed going to the casino, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Dementia / Alzheimer’s robbed her of her quality of life the last few years, but she gave it her all until the very end. She will be greatly missed by her family. She gave us many memories and much laughter that we will keep close to our hearts forever. You are finally free momma reunited with Daddy and everyone that you missed dearly. We will see you again one day.
Special thanks to The Hospice of Baton Rouge, especially nurses: Kim, Brittany and aide, Valerie. With love and appreciation, we thank Jenne for taking care of our “Queen”.
Also, with much love and appreciation, we thank Bonnie for her devotion to our momma. We could not have made it thru this without her love and compassion for our mom.
The pallbearers will be Trudy Wondrick, Dale Blanchard, Rusty Blanchard, Sandy Ordoyne, Jesse Sanchez, Noah Blanchard and Connor Blanchard.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 for 8:30 am until 10:30 am at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow for 11:00 am at St. Jules Catholic Church in Belle Rose. Interment in the church mausoleum. Father Tomi Thomas will be officiating.
