He was a native of Pierre Part, longtime resident of Belle Rose and current resident of Gonzales. Hayward was a retired Superintendent with the Louisiana DOTD serving Assumption and surrounding parishes. He also retired as a Maintenance Supervisor with Savoie Industries. He loved gardening, woodworking and duck hunting. He was married to the love of his life for 69 years, Beatrice Sanchez Guillot. He is also survived by his daughter, Maria Guillot Arceneaux and husband Wayne “Tony”; grandchildren, Ashley Arceneaux Chidester; Ann Marie Arceneaux, and Jon Arceneaux; and 2 great grandchildren, Kayden and Sean. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Clara Guillot; seven sisters, Laura Rodrigue, Leona Courtney, Levie Blanchard, Maude Rodrigue, Pricilla Rodrigue, Ozille Landry, and Judith Landry; and two brothers, Wallace and Pierre Mabile. Visiting will be at St. Jules Catholic Church, Belle Rose on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Entombment to following the church mausoleum. We want to extend a special thanks to Hayward’s doctors, nurses, the doctors and staff of St. Elizabeth Hospital, and to the staff of The Carpenter House for their wonderful care and support.
