Jerry was a loving husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was very outgoing and never met a stranger. Jerry started his career at CF Industries as a Process Operator and later became a Maintenance Planner. He took pride in his work and even after retirement, he returned as a consultant to local plants. Jerry enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening, outdoor projects, following high school football, and being on the lake at his camp. Aside from his many hobbies, he valued the time he spent with his family, especially making memories with his grandchildren.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving wife of forty two years, Terri Bessonet Neal; three daughters, Jennifer Neal Cavalier (Cody), Stefanie Neal Landry (JJ), and Hannah Neal LaGrange (Scott); five grandchildren, Lane Joseph Cavalier, Aubrey Lynne Cavalier, Sofie Jo Landry, Andi Lee Landry, and Rori Kate LaGrange; three siblings, Deborah Hollimon, Missy Dutcher, and John Neal, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Molly Harper Neal and one sister, Theresa Neal.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Gerald Miletello and all of his wonderful and caring staff. The family would also like to thank Dr. Maurice King Jr. and staff for the care and support they offered as well.
To honor Jerry's love for Lake Verret, the family request that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to support Every Fish Matters conservation restocking efforts through MLFAA.org or by check addressed to: MLF Foundation and mailed to 330 Blount Ave Guntersville, AL 35976.
The family would like to invite all who loved Jerry to join them to celebrate his life at his residence on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 2:00pm.
