Jose Florencio Ortega, age 78, of Visalia, California passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024. Jose was born in Guanajuato City, Guanajuato, Mexico to Maria Rodriguez and Salvador Ortega.

Jose is survived by his children Anita Bernabe; Diana Treviño; Rudy Ortega; Ruby Martinez; Tony Ortega; and Jose F. Ortega, Jr.; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; his siblings Federico Ortega, Agustina Flores, Margarita Ortega and Candelaria Garza.

Jose was preceded in death by his father Salvador Ortega and his mother Maria Rodriguez; his brothers Pedro Ortega; Felipe Ortega and Jesus Ortega.

A visitation for Jose will be held Monday, January 6, 2025 at 10:00 AM followed by the funeral service at 12:00 PM at Dopkins Funeral Chapel, 189 South J Street, Dinuba, CA 93618. The interment will occur after at Smith Mountain Cemetery, 42088 Rd 100, Dinuba, CA 93618.
