Fred Newton Day was born in Tishomingo, Oklahoma to Fred Day & Pauline White Day. He served in the United States Army during the Korean war as a Private First Class. He passed away in Kingsburg on Tuesday, June 18, 2013. He was married to Mildred Louise Day for nearly 60 years and is survived by three sons, Martin, Freddie, and Paul Day, and four daughters, Donna Day, Anna Dunn, Dina Day Enstrom, and Lorie Day. He is also survived by his brother Wiliam Day, 29 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
