Our beloved dad passed away after a short illness in Vancouver Washington on July 26, 2024.
He fell asleep in death 2 weeks before his 101 birthday.
He had the kindest heart, and he was a silly little man who loved to make people laugh and would tell jokes or funny little stories. Everyone who knew him or met him loved his sweet disposition. He was a joyful and happy man who loved life, loved food and loved his children.
He is survived by 7 of his 8 children: Gloria Ceballos, John Hernandez, Mirelda Villagomez, Rolando Hernandez, Maria Cavanaugh, Celso Hernandez Jr., Rita Navarro and was preceded in death, his son Albert Hernandez. He had 25 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren (many called him baby grandpa) and 3 great great grandchildren. Although he said this day would come and it had to happen, he also said, “don’t cry and be strong.” This has been the most difficult for us saying goodbye to the cutest, sweetest, silliest man. We have been incredibly blessed to have had him in our lives this long.
As dad would say “Take it easy.”
We love you dad!
