Tracey Ward Smith

Smith, Tracey Ward – Age 51, passed away August 14th, 2015 in Digby General Hospital. Born in Digby, Ward was a son of the late Helen Francis and Everett “Buster” Smith. He was a devoted father and he was proud of his aboriginal ancestry, he formed “Aboriginal Society” a group who helped other families trace their aboriginal ancestry. Ward survived by his fiancé, Bridget Bezanson; daughters, Katherine, Ont; Jennifer, Nicole and Kristen of Toronto; Channel, Mariah & Yvonne of Yarmouth; Khristine & Summer of Digby; sons, Clifford, Plympton, Justin, Yarmouth, Hunter, Digby; sisters, Beverly “Denny”, Yarmouth; brothers, Larry and Clifford “Troy” of Yarmouth; Seldon, Clarence and Kevin “Tony” of Toronto; six grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Ward was predeceased by sisters, Florentine and Helena in infancy. Donations in memory of Ward may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or I.W. K. Childrens Hospital. Visitation will be 7-9pm, Friday August 21st from Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby (902-245-2525) also where the funeral service will be at 11am, Saturday. Pastor Mark Cress will preside.
