Shirley May Raymond

It is with great sadness that the family of Shirley Raymond announces her passing on December 22 at Tideview Terrace , Digby Born December 21, 1934, Shirley had just reached her 90th birthday. Shirley was a very kind person who enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. She loved children as well as the children loved her. She often found humor in many situations. Shirley easily made friends and will be missed by many. She was a gem and will forever cherished in our hearts. Shirley is survived by her sister , Marjorie Theriault , brother Lauriston (Dorothy) Tidd, sister in law Laura Tidd and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Alton and Lola (Simms) Tidd, Shirley as predeceased by her husband Merrill “Danny” her son Kevin in his childhood, brothers Bradford and Roy , sister Audrey. Special thanks to the Staff of Tideview Terrace for their care and compassion in recent years, also special thanks to Christopher and Debbie Tidd for their invaluable assistance provided to Shirley over the past number of years. Visitation will be from 2-4pm Sunday December 29 , 2024 from Jaynes Funeral Home , Digby. Visitation will be from 12 pm until the time of funeral service on 1pm Monday, December 30, 2024 from the Little River United Baptist Church with Kelly Tidd officiating. Burial in Hillcrest Cemetery , Little River.
