Mabel Alberta Mullen Melanson

Melanson, Mabel Alberta – 72, of Tidal View Manor, Yarmouth passed away February 21, 2011 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Hilltown, Mabel was a daughter of the late Clarence and Elda Mullen. Mabel was hard working, and loved to clean. Everyone always commented on how clean her home was. Since becoming a resident at Tidal View Manor, Mabel was always seen smiling and enjoying people. Mabel loved music, and was very loyal to her family. Mabel was a dedicated housewife with a great sense of humor. Mabel is survived by daughter Susan Melanson, Halifax; son David (Trisha Gaudet), Little Brook; sisters Jenny Mullen, Edith Mullen, brothers Clarence, Arthur, Curtis, Chester and Gordon. Besides her parents, Mabel was predeceased by her husband Thomas Melanson, brothers Roland and Wilfred, sister Ruby. Visitation will be held 2-4pm and 7-9pm today in Jayne’s Funeral Home, Weymouth (245-2525). Funeral service 11 am Friday in Ste. Marie’s Catholic Church, Church Point. Interment in parish cemetery. Donations in Mabel’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, or Ste. Marie’s Parish Building Fund.
