Irene Mary Morrell

Morrell, Irene Mary -97 of Brighton, Digby, Co passed away January 20, 2013 in Digby General Hospital. Born in Lake Milo Yarmouth Co; she was the daughter of late George Clark and Ella Deveau. She was a member of St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church, Marshalltown and Seniors Citizens Centre, Plympton. She was also a mid-wife for (old) Dr.Harris. She assisted with many deliveries in Brighton, Barton and surrounding areas. A wonderful mother, grandmother and friend and was loved by all. She gave with all of her heart with what little she had. She will be greatly missed by: daughter, Gail Morrell, Digby; sons Earl (Audrey) Morrell, Brighton; Victor (Marie) Morrell, Marshalltown; Ross(Gaye) Morrell; Brighton; Claude Morrell, Bear River; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers Victor Deveau, Ontario; Donald Smith, Battlefield, Indiana; and sister Rebecca Nichols, New York. She was predeceased by husband, Octave; and daughters Audrey MacAdams, Shirley Amero, and son John “Jack” Morrell, brothers Douglas Smith, sisters, Olive Obed and infant sister Marjorie Deveau. Visitation will be today from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm from Jayne’s Funeral Home 7 Birch Street, Digby with prayers at 8pm.Funeral service 10a.m Wednesday from St.Patricks Roman Catholic Church, Digby Father Henry Smolenaars presiding.
