Harold Edward Thompson

THOMPSON, Harold Edward “Ba”-Age 83 of Gullivers Cove, Digby Co. passed away August 20, 2014 in Digby General Hospital. Harold was born on May 12, 1931, and was the son of the late Harry and Marjorie (Hersey ) Thompson. Harold was a fisherman all his life, an avid hunter, enjoyed and loved guiding with the Mik’maw of Bear River First Nations. He also was a card player and enjoyed playing cribbage. He is survived by companion ,Eleanor D’ambrose, Gullivers Cove,Digby Co.; daughters, Joanne(Amero) Gurdian, Costa Rica; Paula and Carol Stevenson, Digby; sons Dean(Patsy) Thompson, Weymouth; Jerry(Chief Carol Dee)Thompson, Bear River First Nations; Paul Stevenson, Halifax; Deno Stevenson, Digby; sisters, Dolly (Harvey) Peters, Gullivers Cove, Bonnie(Jim)Leplante, Digby, Marie Lightfoot of Berwick, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister Muriel Thompson.Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9pm Friday from Jaynes Funeral Home 7 Birch St. Digby and from where funeral service will be 11am Saturday. Rev. Donald Robertson will officiate with burial at a later date in Union Burial Ground, Centreville.
