Born in Montreal in 1941, Frank spent his career in the Canadian Armed Forces serving with the Canadian Guard, R.C.R, and P.P.C.L.I. In 1971, Frank met his soulmate Susan Cook while stationed in Cornwallis. He liked to say that Sue cried until he agreed to take her with him when he was posted to Calgary, but Sue tells the story a bit differently. Retiring in 1978, Frank and Sue returned to Nova Scotia to raise their family in Bear River.
Frank was an avid baker who loved to compete at the Digby County Exhibition for many years. He was famous for his homemade fudge and pizza and garlic fingers. Frank will be fondly remembered for his silly jokes and Facebook posts that made all who knew him smile.
Frank will be deeply missed by his loving wife Sue and his puppy Bubba, and by his son Derrick (Nancy Morton) and daughter Jennifer (Chris Kelly). He will also be greatly missed by his grand puppies Tank, Herc and Digby.
As per his wishes, there will be no visitation. A private memorial will take place at a later date. In Frank’s memory, we ask you to show kindness to others. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to a charity of choice. Online condolences can be shared at www.jaynesfuneralhome.com
