Edna Mary Stevens of Weymouth North passed away on November 30, 2017, in Digby Hospital. Born in Weymouth in 1935 she was the daughter of the late Leo Comeau and Annabelle Sprague. Edna was a Life Member and longtime volunteer of the Weymouth Legion Branch #67 and she was a volunteer for the Heart & Stroke Foundation as well as the Cancer Society. She had a green thumb and enjoyed plants and gardening. Edna was a great cook especially known for her coconut cream pies, donuts and bread as well as her mincemeat, mustard pickles and jams. She took great pleasure in knitting and crocheting for others and enjoyed bingo and a good card game with family and friends. Her greatest joy was her family. Edna will be greatly missed by her spouse and best friend of 51 years James Theriault; daughters, Sheila and Darlene (David Lantz); son, Leonard (Joanne Woodworth); sister, Grace and sister-in-law Patricia (late Arnold Comeau); brothers-in-law Kenneth Theriault and Nelson Thibault; grandchildren, Jillian and Ryan Lantz, Christopher and Steven Theriault; nieces, Debbie (David Eisanhauer), Rae-Anne (Antonio Castro), Tanya, Tammy, Sandra; nephews Brian, Bruce, Robbie; great –nieces, Sarah, Becky, great-nephews Justin, Connor, Tony and Alex. She is also survived by special “Dad”, Albert Deveau and special sisters Mae and Rosalie. Edna was predeceased by “special” sister, Joan, sister-in-law Margaret; brothers, Arnold and Lester in infancy.
