My Father, my friend, my compass.  
You were the best father a kid or a grown man could ask for. There are too many memories to list.
He would tell me he had a secret and then he'd tell me it was that he loved me... And as a small child I remember saying that's not a secret and laughing...
I remember a father who took me sledding and built igloo's and snow men in the winter. 
I remember him building me my own camp on the hill...
I remember how scared I was of death after Josh died and all the comfort he gave me. I remember belly rubs when I was sick. 
I remember riding on his cross bar of his bicycle to get a lift to westport on his way to work. 
I remember bugging him at work.
I remember him at every birthday and every Christmas... the list just goes on forever. Dad, May you continue to be my compass until we meet again, I'll see ya when I see ya. I love you. I miss you. Forever.

My favourite memory with Donnie would have to be either sitting in his kitchen talking about food because man could he ever cook! or him digging carrots out of the garden to feed Lexi & Piper (my dog) piper is still hooked on baby carrots to this day! 
I’ll never forget the giant hug he gave me when He seen Trits sweet 16 cake I made... one of the best hugs I’ve received to date. And I’ll always remember the struggle he had trying to get me to like coronation street or how insulted he seemed that I didn’t like it. 
Haha he was one of the funniest & most understanding men alive. We love you and miss you Donnie... ❤️ Until we see you again xo

I remember working at d.b.kenny fisheries when Donnie was the foreman of the  wrappers I slipped and fell on my back. Donnie asked me if I had fallen and I said no, I was just lying down. I felt bad, apologized and he said no need to apologize,  he'd asked a stupid question and deserved a stupid answer. Thirty plus years later and I will still smile at that memory. A wonderful, kind man. Will never forget you Donnie.  Deepest condolences to all of Donnie `s family from larry and I.  May God help you all find peace in your memories.

Gone too soon, your gentle soul will be missed

I have many memories of Donnie and His children during my time of living on the Island.But the one that comes to mind was when he would save me from his dog Mikey at the time,The kids loved to get him to chase me but Donnie was always there laughing and helping me to escape the wrath of Mikey lol He was an amazing man so full of love and you couldn’t help but smile around him.He will be dearly missed always.Love to all his family.He was also the man who gave me My well known name “Mi Mi Shell”A gift I will hold dear always.
