She married Gardner E. Blossom, in 1942 and began their lives in Hudson, Michigan. Mary and Gardner began working for Chrysler full time while still ensuring her family was well cared for. Over the next 11
years the couple welcomed four sons Into their home. Mary set about teaching them love and respect.
Mary was accomplished re-weaver and often repaired dress clothes for family and friends. She was a dedicated member of the Dexter United Methodist Church. She loved being involved in the annual Poppy fundraiser with the auxiliary branch of the American Legion. She also volunteered with the auxiliary of the Disabled American Veterans. She was a dedicated mother, friend and neighbor. Mary enjoyed spending time with her friends and meeting new ones. Mary never drove a motor vehicle and made many friends while catching a ride home. She was often seen walking around Dexter enjoying the exercise and visiting with local folks and merchants that she encountered.
Mary is survived by her son Clifford Blossom and wife Patricia Duby as well as many nieces, nephews,
grand and great grand children. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Gardner, sons Richard, Phillip, and Gary, her father, mother,
three sisters and 5 brothers.
The funeral for Mary will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023 at the Dexter United Methodist Church 7643 Huron River Dr., Dexter, MI 48130. Visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, funeral service 11:00 AM to 12:00PM and a luncheon from 12:00-2:00 PM Burial will follow at Arborcrest Memorial Park, 2521 Glazier Way, Ann Arbor, MI 48105.
Cliff and Patti would like to thank Stacey and Mike Stoddard, and their family at A TOUCH OF HOME (Adult Foster Care). A family setting with an abundance of love and home cooked meals. We can never thank them enough for providing so much love, care, and dedication to Mom's well being.
