Travis Lee Reeder

Travis Lee Reeder, 84, of Bath, MI, was born April 14, 1938 to Aaron Grandwell and Vera Mae Pryor Reeder in Mackenzie, TN and went to be with his Lord on September 30, 2022 when he passed away in his home where he resided for over 50 years.

Travis was married March 25, 1961 to Beverly Jean Stauffer. He retired from General Motors Plant II after 30 years of service in 1998. Travis was a family man and he cherished the time spent with Beverly raising a family.

Travis was a jack of all trades and was always working on a project. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and anything with an engine including his garden tractors which he would compete in tractor pulls with. He had a knack for fixing anything and was happy to share his knowledge to anyone needing help.

Later in life he was happy and content sitting outside watching the wildlife and feeding them. Or sitting in his chair with the remote or cell phone in his hand and his dog, Scooter, in his lap. He also enjoyed the company and visits from his family, friends and neighbors, especially Theresa.

Travis is survived by his son: Travis Jr. (Tammie) Reeder of Haslett, MI; daughter: Shannon (William) VanOstran of Waupaca, WI; son-in-law: Ralph Riggs of Bath, MI; grandchildren: Chad, Amy (Amanda), Aaron (Ashley), Matt, Kareen (Marcin), Kristin, Alyssa (Zach), Austin, and Richard (Alxsys); and great grandchildren: Mason, Skylar, Maxwell, Brayden, Benjamin, Kailee-Mae, Guinevere and Alivia.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Beverly Reeder; daughter: Charmaine Riggs; son: Jerry Roberts; sisters: Nell Noles, Dale Reeder and Lois Reeder; and brothers: Joe Reeder and James Reeder.

A visitation will be held Friday, October 7 from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 12:00 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 205 E. Washington St., DeWitt, MI 48820 officiated by Pastor Dave Cokonougher. Interment to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
