Susie had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel welcomed, loved, and cherished. She was a true book-lover, enjoyed gardening, and had an unwavering love for her family. She also enjoyed travelling, especially to Turk Lake, Rainbow Lake, and Pine Island. She was a survivor, a warrior, and the words, “never” and “quit” just simply were not in her vocabulary. The way Susie saw it, you can always pick yourself up and start again. That was Susie!
Susie was the glue that kept her family together, a true matriarch, creating and leaving behind so many precious memories for her family to forever cherish. Her family and friends fondly remember Susie as being hilarious, loving, giving, and welcoming - a true hostess with the mostess! Susie will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Susie is survived by her beloved husband, Frank Breen; daughters, Kelly McCormick Wurm and Wendy Edwards; son, Nathan Henke; many grandchildren; and one brother, William Edwards. She is preceded in death by her daughters, Tracy McCormick Chandonnet and Beth Henke-Carson; brother, Jack Edwards; and her parents, Edna and John Edwards.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you honor the memory of Susie by planting a tree or a flowering plant as Susie found solace in the beauty of both trees and flowers.
The family will be planning a celebration of life gathering at a later date.
