Bob was born on January 9, 1942 in Riverdale, MI to Wilbur and Norberta (Lavoy) Foster and died December 7, 2011 in Bath, MI. He retired from Fisher Body in Lansing after nearly 30 years of dedicated service. While at Fisher Body Bob was known as the “Candy Man.” Bob was a terrific handyman. He enjoyed building bird and lighthouses. Bob found joy in helping many friends and family to complete their large or small projects. He loved to play games and cherished his family. Bob was “grandpa” to more children than just his five granddaughters. He loved all children and enjoyed being around them. Bob was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughters Ronda (Ronald) Vermillion, Jackie Cooper, Gayle (Ryan) Vail; grandchildren Amy Cooper, Amber Cooper, Amanda Bobby Cooper, Shanelle Vail, Vanessa Vail and sisters Mary (Rodrick) Wing and Joan (Thomas) Peterson. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 12, 2011 at 11:00am at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, DeWitt Chapel, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI with Pastor Randy Lee Peterson officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, December 11, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Chapel. Contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 14769 Wood St. Lansing, MI 48906 in memory of Bob.
