I miss your so much Michahael Lition you are good at Basketball and Bowling .I love you so much 

I met Michael last year at park. Such a sweet and caring guy. He spoke to me about advocacy for the children. So Blessed to have met him. Sending Prayers, love, and hugs to the family. When you think of Michael, may God place peace in your hearts and loving memories in the mind. God Bless. 

He always had a smile and was always happy and making others happy Area 28 was lucky to have such an amazing man in our hearts and lives.

Michael was a delight! This pic was him watching the rabbit show at the Eaton County Fair with my family. He wanted to be sure that his babysitter certificate showed up in the pic. He was so very proud of that certificate! He would call me on video chat at all hours to talk about his business name, (which kept getting longer all the time), basketball, or sometimes to sing me a song. He occasionally asked for a ride somewhere, and I would always comply if I could. We loved running into him Bennett Park, where he would always want me to play basketball with him. Occasionally I did, and he was gracious to this old lady who is lousy at sports. Regrettably, we always intended to bring the grandsons to play with him.. but I don't think that ever happened. 😢
We missed him when he moved from charlotte, though his calls still continued for quite a while. He had me come to St John's to buy some firewood once, and I saw him last August at the Mint Festival. He hung around my booth for an hour or more, just catching up on lost time. I wish I had known it would be the last time I would speak to him...

He would video chat with me (sometimes at all hours of the night) to talk about his latest idea for his business name, (it got longer as the years went by),  or to sing me a song, or just to chat. Sometimes he would ask me for a ride somewhere... And whenever possible, I would take him. 
He loved playing basketball, and, regrettably, we always planned to bring our grandsons to play with him at Bennett Park... But I don't think that ever happened. 😢 I did occasionally play b-ball with him. He always won, and was gracious with me, even though I am a lousy player. We missed him terribly after he moved to St John's. He did sell me some firewood there, once... And I saw him for the last time at the Mint Festival last August. He hung around my craft booth for probably an hour or more, just catching-up and reminiscing. I wish I'd known it would be the last conversation we would ever have...

In the wake of his life, Michael has left us with so many memories of love, joy and happiness. Michael lived down the road from our farm and we became good friends. He was always welcome. We could see him coming on foot to share his latest adventure.  I always made him a snack and poured him a refreshment in his favorite Minnie Mouse cup. He would say, “You know what...I caught a fish!”... “I went to the game!”  We shared lots of laughs. Michael was such a good person, and he was very strong! When I needed help with something around the farm he would pitch in. He was also a very unique character! He spread his simple message of love and caring for children. He would sing to us and talk about his favorite things; BEING A SUPERHERO BABY-SITTER. He was a successful business man, selling cold drinks under a shade tree in his yard on hot summer days. Also, Michael collected cans wherever he walked. Every so often we would get in my truck,  drive the back roads and pick them up, then go cash them in at Meijers, then go get a pizza in DeWitt and buy scratch-off lottery tickets. I will deeply miss him. I feel a deep gratitude to his foster parents for giving him a home and keeping him safe. We know Michael is in heaven now surrounded by like-minded angelic family and friends.

Michael was always such a kind soul. I always looked forward to seeing him when I took my kids to Bennet Park. My heart broke when I heard he passed. Rest in peace, dear friend

Michael was the true guardian of Bennett Park.  If there ever was an issue in the park, he let us know immediately.  We are truly going to miss his friendship and dedication to the park.  From the entire DPW staff at the City of Charlotte, our most sincere condolences to the family.  He will truly be missed. 

I am a friend of Katie's from Minnesota.  Michael had added me on social media and would message me about his days and events.  Michael was always very proud to share of his special Olympics activities, his worm buisness, his love of basketball and the joy that babies and babysitting would bring him!  Michael was a friend to me and my entire family,  I am thankful I had the opportunity to meet him and spend time at the park together during a trip I took to visit Katie & others in the area.  Michaels joy and zest for life will be greatly missed by many. 

Michael walked by our home almost everyday, carrying his big bag of basketballs. Even when the weather got colder he still made it was to Bennett park. If we were ever outside Michael would walk up to our driveway and ask us what we’re doing. He always brought a smile to my children's faces when he came around. I can remember when he started his babysitting business and how excited he was about graduating his CPR class and babysitting classes. Even when we got his certificate officially laminated. His joy brought us joy. Michael is forever missed and will never be forgotten by our family. I know God welcomed him with open arms. Thankful we were blessed enough to know you, Michael ❤️

It was an honor to have prayed for Michael during this time in his life.   Our Energy Healing group has been holding Michael in Creator's Light.  
Last night I saw Michael in my dream.  He came forward and told me he wanted his parents to know, he was doing great.  He was smiling ear to ear!  He said there was a celebration for him, and everyone there was happy.  
We all know that Michael accomplished his earthly mission, and we are grateful to have been touched by his HUGE heart!  Michael is an amazing soul!

I am so sorry to hear that Michael has passed.  I worked with him at Transition North. Michael had his micro-enterprise selling his worm "juice" and dirt. Man, could he sell!! I lost track of him over the years and my daughter asked me a couple years ago if I knew a Michael Linton. She and my grandkids had met him at Bennett Park. She always looked forward to seeing him. Rest in peace Michael. You were a special soul!!!

So sincerely sad to see that Michael is no longer with us, I can't tell you how many times we played basketball with him. The countless birthday parties of my children's that he came too, the nerf gun wars or just the sitting on benches and talking. I was always so happy to see how passionate you were about what you spoke about. I could write a book within all of the memories. I truly hope that where your soul has traveled to is as wonderful as you. That your smile lights the world there as it did here. No matter what, you were always kind  even when other's  may have chose not to be.. You changed the world in so many ways... Rest in your most beautiful peace my friend. 💙

Oh Micheal, My heart sank when I heard you earned your wings. I will miss our nightly face-times, I’ll miss your voice memos just checking in, I’ll miss celebrating your birthdays with you, visiting your lemonade stand or catching a Basketball game with you. Your smiling face, caring heart and helping soul left many footprints on many lives. I’ll do everything I can to continue to honor our community super hero. Always know how much you were and are loved Mikey!

The most gentle soul. I met Michael at Bennet Park when me and my son would go down to play. He always did his best to make my son feel welcome and included and played with him when I hurt my back and couldn’t get out there and play myself. Thank you Mighty Michael ❤️

We moved out to Green road about a year ago and Michael was always walking by with a smile on his face and would always give us a wave! He stopped by quite a few times wanting to see our new house and meet our daughter! We will miss seeing him walking down the road! Fly high Michael! 

As one of Michael’s coaches in the Special Olympics, Area 28 and as he was a many time visitor to my home  I came to know a young man who never knew an enemy.  He always had nice things to say about others and he reminded me of a big teddy bear who genuinely loved people.  He will be sorely missed by my family as well as our Special Olympic family.  He believed what John 3:16 says and I know I will be with Michael someday resting in the arms of God.

Michael was often at Bennett Park in Charlotte. He was always so friendly, greeting us and wanting to chat. We will miss seeing him there. Cheryl Bliss

I will forever miss our FaceTime Conversations. Our time spent at my house playing Fruit Ninja and eating McDonald's. I miss you my friend 😢 💔.  My condolences to Michael's family friends our community. 

Michael loved being outside and walking. He walked to my farm practically everyday, regardless of weather, usually carrying one or many of his “babies”. He would picked up cans he see along the way. He arrived with a smile and  “you know what?” to begin his next fish story or Mighty Mike Babysitting marketing idea. He is the sweetest most innocent of souls and I will miss him dearly. I know all that know him are feeling the same great loss! RIP Michael! Take good care of all the babies!

Some people come into our lives to help ground us in purpose and challenge priorities. Michael was that person for our family.  God blessed us on August 10, 2018 when we first met him at Bennett
Park while we were doing a photo shoot for my Grandson Hudson. He and my son Nick connected instantly, which ended in helping Michael start a basketball camp for kids.  It was very a memorable day. Michael will never be forgotten. 

We met  Michael the day he started a basketball camp! He spent the morning teaching us to play basketball.  I admire his determination and entrepreneurial spirit, he was a great guy! The world needs more people like Michael. 

Michael was a amazing person. He was at every CJO and high school football game here in Charlotte Mi. He was a great water boy. He was always willing to help wherever help was needed. He loved the Detroit Tigers. He will be greatly be missed. That smile I will miss. Rest In Peace Mighty Mike. 

Our family has so many memories with Michael. The first time we met  him was at Bennett Park. He was talking about wanting to start a basketball camp for kids. So, we helped him get started by getting him some supplies and we played a game with him with our son who was 2 and the time. Then, our daughter did cheer and practices were held at Bennett Park. It allowed for our family to get to know Michael that much more! Michael was always waiting for us to get there to play with our kids and talk to us. He was always making all of us smile and laugh! Michael was just a ray of sunshine to be around. He had such a big heart and was truly always a super hero in our eyes, especially our kids’ eyes. You’ll forever be missed, Michael.

Play Ball🥎💔🏅, as his softball coach for Special Olympics, in all the years I knew him, threw RESA being his bus driver, never knew he could yell, he was always soft spoken caring and loving 


Michael was a very special person.  I enjoyed watching him befriend the children at church.  He will be missed by the people at First Baptist Church and by the people of the Charlotte community.    

I had the pleasure of leading Worship one Sunday morning at First Baptist Church Charlotte. I called Michael up on the platform to help me sing, I Will Make You Fishers of Men! It was such a great time. I talked with him often about music. He was a beautiful person…until we meet again Michael!!
