Mary "Marge" Marguerite Metevier

Marge was born in Detroit, MI and graduated from Marygrove College. She married the love of her life, David, in 1965. They had two children, David and James, and shared 42 wonderful years together until David’s passing in 2007.

Marge loved to read and write and was fortunate enough to have a career she had a passion for in journalism and editing. She had many hobbies including needlepoint, swimming, traveling and singing where she was even a member of the Dearborn Choral Arts Society. Marge adored all animals. She always had pets and would spoil her family’s pets any time they paid her a visit. The perfect day in Marge’s eyes would be spent at their house in Florida, soaking up the sun surrounded by her family. She will be deeply missed and loved by all who knew her.

Marge was the beloved wife of the late David Metevier; loving mother of David (Virginia) Metevier and James (Gretchen Darbyshire) Metevier; cherished grandmother of Connor, Michelle, Genevieve, Vivienne, Carolyn, Jonathan and Vincent; and dear sister of the late John Balint II.

A memorial service for Marge will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 12 pm at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Dewitt Chapel, 205 E. Washington St., DeWitt, MI 48820. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
