Harold “Mick” Stevens, 89, of Lake, MI died September 16, 2017. He was born April 14, 1928 in Stockbridge MI the son of Richard and Anna Stevens. Mick was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa, uncle, brother, and friend. He passed with his family at his side. We know he is happy again. He was proud to be a Korean War Vet. He and his wife, Rose resided in Lansing, then DeWitt. Mick retired from Motor Wheel. Mick was a member of the Rod and Gun Club, The Eagles, and the American Legion. He loved to play cards, fish, bowl, play the guitar and the harmonica. He enjoyed sports and was a huge Tiger’s baseball fan. Mick had a green thumb: he could grow anything.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1998; parents; brothers, Russell, Lewis, and George Stevens; sisters, Margaret Gowing, Gladys Whitney, Doris Leroy, and Ella Warvel. Surviving to cherish his memory are children, Joan (David) Bush, John (Judy) Vancalbergh, and Sandra (Dale) Badgley; 6 grandchildren, Courtney Wargo, Matthew (Haley) Bush, John Paul (Michelle) Vancalbergh, Erin (Steven) Friend, Derick (Nicole) Badgley, and Carrie (Jon) Allgaier; and 12 great grandchildren.
Memorial Services will take place at 11:30 am September 30, 2017 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington St., DeWitt, MI with visitation one hour prior.
