She was 96 years old and was born in St. Johns, MI, daughter of Barbara and George VanDouser.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin in 2013; her son, Gary in 2007; and daughter, Susan in 2012. She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Schultz in Texas and Sandi McKibben in Michigan; son-in-law, Joe Smith of DeWitt; grandsons, Matthew Ashley (Lisa) in DeWitt and Michael Ashley (Renae) in Howell; great-grandchildren, Allison Ashley of DeWitt, Alexa Ashley of DeWitt, Lauren Ashley of Howell, and Luke Ashley of Howell.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 1001 N. Capitol Avenue, Lansing, MI. Service will be at 11:00am. Interment will take place, 1:30pm at Mount Rest Cemetery in St. Johns, MI. Family will receive relatives and friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
