Clarence Junior Bevard, affectionately known as "Jelly," passed away on October 8, 2024, at the age of 90. Born on December 31, 1933, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marjorie Bevard, with whom he shared a loving marriage beginning on June 18, 1966, as well as his parents and siblings: Ruby, Joseph, John, Charles, Helen, Delores, Evelyn, and Howard.
Jelly was a dedicated forklift driver for General Motors, known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his job. He was a cherished member of his family and is survived by his stepchildren: Edward (Penny) Aho, Dale (Linda) Aho, and Gail (Robert) Kimball. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his grandchildren: Bambi (Jason) Askew, Moriah (Darrel) Martin, Daniel (Jasmin) Aho, and Jeremy (Amanda) Aho, as well as his great-grandchildren: Marquise (Ofelia) Harris, Mariah Hall, Jason Askew Jr., Noah (Chloe) Martin and Caleb Martin and his great-great-grandchildren: Skylar White, Jason Askew III, and Benicio Harris. He is also survived by his brother, Donald Bevard.
Jelly will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and the joy he brought to those around him. A visitation to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 3pm until 4pm. Burial will follow at Dewitt Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Sparrow Hospice Services.
