Bonnie Jean Riggs

On January 17th, 2018 at the age of 73 our loving mother, friend, wife as she was surrounded by her family and holding on to the hand of her husband, best friend, soul mate of 52 years, Richard Riggs. Bonnie peacefully left this earth for a place she can run, skip and do cartwheels if she wanted, instead of being confined to her recliner chair. Bonnie Fiercely loved each and every family member but especially her soul mate Richard Riggs. Worrying about her husband and family kept her going each day. Though more so the dedicated, daily tender loving care of her husband. Bonnie was a kidney transplant survivor of almost 29 years and had been called a walking miracle to iron woman. She was active with the kidney foundation and transplant support groups. Through the years Bonnie had many adventures with her family. From tenting it near a lake filled with alligator in Georgia to cruising around New Zealand and Australia; Bonnie loved life. Bonnie was the heart of our family and will be greatly missed. Bonnie was born on October 14th, 1944 in Lansing, Michigan. She is preceded in death by her parents Clifford and Anna Katherine Baugh. Surviving are her husband of 52 years Richard Riggs; her children Jeannette Sulcer (Donald), Laura McCarty, Sonya Seegraves-Riggs (James), Julie Juhas (Jake), Scott Riggs (Kathy). Grand Children Bradley, Shawn, Emily, Ciara, Dustin, Madeline, Katie, Leslie. Great Grand Children Alicia, Katelynn, Kaeden, and Weston. Visitation is 11 AM -12 Noon Tuesday January 23rd with the funeral following at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home 205 E Washington St. Dewitt Mi 48820.
