"Tim" as he was fondly called, is survived by his wife Ewa (née Barzyk), his daughters Alice (Brad) and Lydia, and his siblings Sam, Priscilla, and Anna. He is predeceased by his parents Wesley and Patricia.
Tim was born in Oak Park, IL on October 29, 1963 to Wesley and Patricia Fitting who raised him in a Christian household. After completing his degree at Coyne, he trained to become an HVAC technician. He was a hard working, ambitious man who soon launched his own HVAC contracting business and serviced apartments and houses all over the Chicagoland area over the last 40 years. Tim met his wife Ewa through some of his Polish HVAC workers/friends and they were married on August 3, 1991, enjoying married life with their cat Clyde. Tim always brought her beautiful flowers to brighten her day and let her know how much he loved her. Soon after, they welcomed their first daughter Alice and moved their young family from Chicago to Berwyn, IL. Four years later, they welcomed their second daughter Lydia and decided to move to Oak Lawn where they adopted their Labrador dog Hanky. They spent over 25 years together in the Oak Lawn house making happy memories with family and friends. This included many large Polish family reunions where Ewa's family filled their household with many laughs and pierogi. Tim even learned a few words of Polish over their 32 years of marriage.
Tim was a devoted father and an avid outdoorsman who could often be found on the farm and woods on the weekends. Anytime there was a hockey or football game on TV, you could count on Tim being there to watch the game and root for his favorite Chicagoland teams. Tim was the kind of man who always took care of anyone who was in need and never expected anything in return. There are countless people whose lives are better today because he offered to help them in times of need. He would talk to anyone and had a genuinely positive attitude despite any challenges that arose in life. Most of all, Tim believed in the Lord Jesus as his Saviour and led his life as a devout Christian family man. Everything he did was to provide for his wife and daughters, who he loved so dearly. He will be deeply missed and always remembered by his wife, daughters, the Fitting family, Ewa's large Polish family, all his wonderful friends, and numerous business associates from many years of work.
A visitation is scheduled for 4:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 12 at the Oehler Funeral Home at 2099 Miner St. in Des Plaines, IL. A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 13 also beginning at Oehler Funeral Home. Flowers and condolences can be sent to the funeral home.
